Pal's Maverick, "Mike", was a product of notable grouse dog parentage - Mike's sire, Ch. Autumn Elhew Gold, an Elhew Mr. McGoo son, had 17 placements, sired 11 winners, with those winners amassing 43 wins. Autumn Elhew Gold sired the 2000 Grand National Grouse Champion, Holy Smoke. Mike's dam was Elhew Autumn Whisper, an Elhew Mr. McGoo daughter, a two time Grand National Grouse Champion, who produced a Grand National Grouse Futurity winner. Mike's sire and dam had a combined 15 championships on grouse and woodcock. Mike himself had 13 placements, sired 6 winners, with those having 21 wins. We feel fortunate to have Mike's cover dog genetics in our kennel though his daughter, Autumn Elhew Encore, and we are anticipating another outstanding frozen semen litter from Mike in the near future.
